What a change-out is

A change-out replaces worn-out equipment with new equipment. When the rest of the system is in good shape, the old unit comes out, the new one goes in, and we test everything before we leave.

We work fast and keep the disruption small, because you still have to live in your home while we do it.

  • The price up front, before any work starts
  • A time that works for you, and a crew that arrives on it
  • The new system tested and running before we leave

How a replacement works

  1. We look at what you have

We see the current system and the space it sits in, and ask how the home heats and cools today.

  2. You get the price first

You know what the job costs before any work starts.

  3. Install day

We remove the old equipment, put in the new system and keep the mess to a minimum.

  4. Test and walk-through

We run the system, check that it works and show you how to use it.

Replacement questions

How do I know if I need a new system or just a repair?

Age, how often it breaks, what the repair costs and how comfortable the home is all matter. We tell you what we find and what each option costs before you decide.

Can you replace an old furnace or air conditioner with a heat pump?

Heat pumps heat in winter and cool in summer, and we install, maintain and repair them. Whether one suits your home depends on the house and the system you have now, so we look before we recommend anything.

Do you replace water heaters too?

Yes, along with furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits and thermostats.
