Cooling questions
When should I service my air conditioner?
Once a year, in the spring, before you need it.
The air conditioning runs but the air is warm. What should I check?
Make sure the thermostat is set to Cool and below the room temperature, the breaker is on, the filter is clean and the outdoor unit is running and clear of debris. If it still blows warm air, turn it off and call us. Running it can make some problems worse. The AC quick checks walk through each step.
Do mini splits need maintenance?
Yes. Rinse the indoor filters regularly, and have the system cleaned and checked once a year.
Is a heat pump the same as an air conditioner?
In summer it works like one. A heat pump can also run in reverse to heat the home in winter.
Not cooling like it should?
